Wonderful! We must have those buildings; otherwise, one will always feel like being a guest of somebody else. So we have to work – and quickly – to make this happen. It’s a quality of intensity one doesn’t see very often. One can learn so much from such a massive place.
I take such a project very seriously. I blessed it, and it’s going to work and be effective into the future. Myself and other friends want to put some life into this place. It will also be interesting for people who would be looking for a place that has been widely blessed by us.
Thank you so much for that wonderful time we could share, and for unforgettable days, it was very interesting. Everything showed masses of richness and we are really looking forward to sharing that with the local people and ourselves.
So please move on, this is exactly for our well built-out Diamond Way.

Dearest Lama,
This summer, Your stay in the Těnovice retreat center initiated great activity, interest and development throughout the Czech Sangha. We are developing plans for building a new larger gompa there, correspondingly we want to increase capacity of the retreat center to host more people. We are planning some rearrangements of Your rooms in the house. We are trying to buy neighbouring lands including the surrounding forest.
During Your stay, an opportunity appeared to buy a former farmstead, which You have visited, which stands on the land of almost 11.000 m2. We, as Těnovice team, see a big potential for future to create there a supportive basis for the meditation place up on the hill (so called BaseCamp). It may serve as a condensation seed for future Těnovice Sangha, it may provide an accommodation, storages, kitchen, bar etc. By buying it now we would secure this potential for future.
Therefore, we had made a survey about the interest of the Sangha in buying it. Within 10 days 132 people expressed their positive interest. Based on that we are able to collect c.a. ⅓ of the price immediately. We are also able to support the purchase by regular monthly donations. That allows us to secure the rest of the purchase price by long-term loan (7-10 years). If we act quickly, we can use an offer from a new Sangha member for the long-term loan, by which we can cover the rest of the price. We would like to reduce the need for the loan as much as we can. Around 20 Sangha members expressed their interest in colonizing the southern outlying part of the area by private investments.
In the attachment we send to You a map of the Těnovice area, two bird-view pictures and also a short resume of the information we have collected about the farmstead. In this link You can see some pictures of the farmstead.
From the beginning of this activity there was not full consensus among our organization representatives about the question whether to buy it or not. Therefore, it took some time to harmonize the situation before we wrote to You this letter. Now the situation is that it makes sense for our boards and a significant part of the Sangha to buy it.
We would like to ask You as our Lama for sharing Your wide view about this project in the context of the Těnovice retreat center, and for instructions and any comments You have.
